Laranjal opened in 2009 and was voted Best Golf Course at the 2011 Portuguese Travel Awards.

Originally an orange grove, the par 72 championship course is situated 2 km east of the resort, in the Ludo Valley. Boasting spectacular fairways and well-defined greens, Laranjal is renowned for its five beautiful lakes, umbrella pines, cork-oaks and orange trees.

At 6,480 metres in length, the challenging course demands the highest level of concentration and accuracy. Its distinctive rolling terrain has been expertly designed and manicured to provide a world-class golfing experience.

Featuring five par 5s, eight par 4s and five par 3s, the course is sown with Bermuda grass on the fairways and Penn A4 on the greens, ensuring excellent putting surfaces throughout the year.

I understand that there is risk in any outdoor sport or activity and that the golf tournament, special contests, and events I'm participating in today involve inherent risks and dangers that may result in serious injury or event permanent disability or death. In consideration for being allowed to participate in this golf tournament, I hereby release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages, which I may have or which may hereafter accrue to me against the organizers, sponsors, benefiting organizations, volunteers, host golf course or any of their respective officers, agents and employees of this event, for any and all injuries or other damages, including property loss, whether known or foreseeable at this time or unknown and unforeseen, which may be incurred by me in connection with, and/or rising out of my traveling to or returning from this event. I assume all the risks and accept personal responsibility for any injury or damage to persons or property incurred by or caused by me resulting from my participation in this event, whether or not attributable to the negligence of any of the above persons or any activity or conduct of such persons. In addition, I give all such parties, including any photographers engaged by any of the above parties, permission to copyright, use and publish any still or moving photographs of me taken at this golf tournament and hereby release all such parties from any liability by virtue of such use or publication, including any claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
